Our Journey
The Beginning – 1952
The roots of Argil Group trace back to the inspiring vision of Shri Amarshibhai Prajapati, whose passion for ceramics and deep understanding of clay laid the foundation for a remarkable industrial legacy.
After gaining extensive hands-on experience in the ceramic and pottery industry, he identified an opportunity to manufacture Mangalore roofing tiles using the rich clay resources available in Morbi, Gujarat. Through years of experimentation, dedication, and technical expertise, he successfully developed a reliable manufacturing process and established Prajapat Tiles Company in 1952.
This milestone marked the beginning of a journey that would eventually grow into one of the most respected names in India's ceramic and surface manufacturing industry.
Growth & Expansion
Driven by a commitment to quality and continuous improvement, the company expanded its manufacturing capabilities and diversified its product portfolio over the following decades.
In 1999, the ARGIL brand was officially launched, introducing high-quality wall tiles to the market and strengthening the company's presence within the ceramic industry. The success of the brand further reinforced its reputation for delivering reliable products backed by consistent quality standards.
Entering the Quartz Industry

In 2010, the company expanded into engineered quartz surfaces, establishing one of India's pioneering quartz manufacturing facilities.
